Marines On Joe's Side

I first wrote about Joe Ligotti, Ohooooo, The Guy From Boston baby!, here on LCMarine just over a year ago (August 2007) in a post titled: The USO Show Marines Will Never See. His subject this time was how he wanted to round up some of his buddies and go to Iraq. Do a little entertaining, pass out some cigars, and behind the scenes try to figure out how to end this Iraq business. That's Joe alright.

He told me he had a cousin in the Marine Corps serving in Iraq – this was when I first spoke to him in 07. YouTube was just getting started and videos on the Internet were not the quality they are today. Joe had filmed his own rants and I asked for his blessing to use some of his videos on my blog network. That's when he told me about his cousin and his connection to the Marine Corps.

I found them to be entertaining, sure, but what really made me feel good was that finally, somebody has the balls to say what I'm thinkin! From political correctness to illegal immigration, crooked politicians to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, mexican truck drivers and the USA going from a super-power to a power-outage. Joe gets them all.
